Measurement Is Not An Option...
Nonprofits are something I have grown up around. My parents
have never worked for one, but we have always volunteered for them, and done
our best to help out with what we can. Nonprofits are such an important part of
society and have even started to move purpose into the profit world.
Measurement for nonprofits is not an option. Relationships
with their membership provides volunteers, money, donations, fundraising, help
to spread awareness and even more. She provides some overall tips to the
measurement process for nonprofits.
Use your
already defined mission to define your objectives.
Use content
analysis to measure activity, sentiment and messaging.
Use surveys
to measure what people think about you.
Measure
behavioral change and results during a crisis.
These steps can be helpful in other ways as well. However,
they are a priority in nonprofits and measuring nonprofit work. Looking into
these steps for your nonprofit can be a lot of work at first, but they aren’t
really an option. They can help you form, build and keep relationships. These things
in return keep the nonprofit running through money and volunteers.
