With Every Hilltop Comes a Valley
With Every Hilltop Comes a Valley
I have grown accustom to moving through different seasons of life in the past two years of my life. I guess college does that to you! I have gone through seasons of change, seasons of rebuilding, seasons of soul searching and almost everything in between. At the start of a new season, it usually brings feelings of discomfort, a little anxiety and a whole lot of fear. By the end usually my life has been changed for the better or I have at least learned a valuable life lesson.
I am currently at the beginning of a new season that I am not even sure I know what to name. My life is usually planned out, on time, full of clarity and most importantly full of room for creativity. I have a planner dividing each day down to the hour. I always keep track of time due to the fact that being late makes me feel uncomfortable. I always give myself time to listen to new worship music, create new and fun graphics and sing in the shower. In the last week I have double booked myself multiple times, I have forgotten about meetings, I have had no idea about what to focus on and have little to no room for creativity. The defining role of this season above all else is how every time I feel like I am winning at this thing called life, I fall off the mountain. These things can be discouraging really fast! However, I am hopeful to learn yet another life lesson from all the craziness life can throw at me!
So as this week starts, I have made some goals for myself. Part of this goes with my type A personality. However I truly believe setting goals is a fantastic way to keep yourself accountable toward a result you want!
1. Keep your planner not only updated, but clean and clear.
2. Make sure you give yourself enough time to get from one thing to another.
3. Scheduling some time for yourself is always a good idea.
4. Keep a positive attitude!
Cheers to a positive week for all. I hope the season you find yourself in is one you can learn something from!
Thank you for sharing Michaela! I'm sure this season of your life will be filled with triumph and hopefully not too many falls off the mountain. I too prefer to be organized when it comes to my time and also keep very detailed planners. Maybe we can exchange organization tips some time!
ReplyDeleteHey Michaela. I loved your post the way you worded things was very beautiful. I hope that in this season of your life will be amazing for you. I know how you feel when it comes to managing time, being late for class or not having an assignment ready terrifies me to death.
